Student Housing on Campus:
Please remember that Earthships are a relatively new concept, and student housing is an example of each experiment along the way. Student housing buildings are older and imperfect, but an excellent opportunity for individuals to understand design considerations. Troubleshooting and an open mind are required to learn this unique way of living. Our staff is always happy to address concerns and teach you about our unique systems.
Each room rental requires a $100 refundable cleaning deposit. SSS requires a $200 cleaning deposit. SS1 requires a $200 cleaning deposit if rented as dog-friendly housing. Cleaning deposits are returned 1-3 weeks after check-out, pending the cleanliness of the room. Cleaning deposits are returned via Venmo, Paypal, or a check in the mail.
Students must provide their own bedding (but we can rent bedsheet for $ 20 USD, please inquire at academy@earthship.com). Single occupancy rooms have twin beds, double occupancy rooms have queen or king beds.
There are 2 dog-friendly housing options. A $100 fee is required for a dog, $75 for a second dog. 2 dogs max. per living space. However, please note that we have a strict DOG POLICY in place: EarthshipDogPolicyForStudentsAndInterns
We can accommodate late check-ins to student housing no later than 7pm on weekdays for an additional fee of $50. Arriving after 1PM on Monday is considered a late check-in. Staff is not available for check-ins on weekends.

Please consider our greywater systems. Antibacterial soaps and bleach are prohibited as it destroys the beneficial bacteria of our planters. Please use biodegradable soaps/shower products with minimal chemicals.
The Hive
8 bedroom off-grid, 2 story house. Shared full kitchen & common areas, 5 bathrooms, Wifi. Located in the Greater World Earthship Community.
Kitchen: The Hive kitchen includes a shared DC refrigerator, propane stove/oven, and sink. The off-grid power system does not support a microwave, coffee maker, rice cooker, slow cooker, hair dryer etc.
Price for the 4 weeks:
5 small single-occupancy rooms – $580
3 large rooms with private bathrooms $680/single occupancy
$1200/double occupancy
EVE Compound Buildings
Several Earthships located in the Greater World Earthship Community with private & shared student accommodations. All units are within walking distance of the Academy Classroom.
SSS (SIMPLE SURVIVAL STUDIO)
Newly finished studio Earthship with kitchenette, Wifi, king sized bed, private bathroom. Available as a private or double-private living space.
Kitchen: The kitchenette includes a mini fridge, 1 burner convective electric stove, and sink. The off-grid power system does not support a microwave, coffee maker, rice cooker, slow cooker, hair dryer etc.
Prices for the 4 weeks:
$850/single occupancy
$1450/double occupancy
SS1 (SIMPLE SURVIVAL 1)
Simple studio Earthship with kitchenette and fridge, king sized bed, private bathroom. Electrical systems are simple. This is our most economical Earthship design. Available as a private or double-private living space. Dog-friendly. Wifi included.
Kitchen: The kitchenette includes a 2-burner propane stove, mini fridge, and sink. The off-grid power system does not support a microwave, coffee maker, rice cooker, slow cooker, hair dryer etc.
Prices for the 4 weeks:
Single occupancy $780 (+$100 dog fee + $200 refundable cleaning deposit)
Double occupancy $1300
SS2 (SIMPLE SURVIVAL 2)
2 private bedroom Simple Survival Earthship with kitchenette, twin beds in each Room. It has 1 shared bathroom, and electrical systems are simple. This is our most economical Earthship design. Single occupancy per bedroom. Wifi included.
Kitchen: Each bedroom has a kitchenette equipped with a 2 burner propane stove, a mini fridge, and a sink. The off-grid power system does not support a microwave, coffee maker, rice cooker, slow cooker, hair dryer etc.

2 private bedrooms Simple Survival Earthship with kitchenette, twin beds in each Room. Kitchenettes with personal fridges, bathroom, and electrical systems are simple. This is our most economical Earthship design. Single occupancy per bedroom. Wifi included
Kitchen: Each bedroom is equipped with a mini fridge and sink. Housemates shared a kitchenette in the greenhouse with a 2-burner propane stove. The off-grid power system does not support a microwave, coffee maker, rice cooker, slow cooker, hair dryer etc.

AREA 52
One of the first building when you enter the community, the Area 52 is close to the classroom. This building is a dormitory like style, with 4 beds. There is a shared kitchen and share toilets and shower.

$ 400 USD per bed (4 spots available), $ 100 USD deposit
